To get a dog. It's been a long time since I had a pet of my own and I said, once I had a house and a yard, I'd get one. Well, that's done and it's lonely here so I think it's time. A happy rescue puppy is just what my new fenced in yard needs. I like big dogs, at least as big as a lab. I like rotties and pitts and every one that I've met have been the sweetest dogs ever but the stigma they carry and the increased insurance premium will probably keep me from getting one.
Been searching online for shelters and such, got a few to choose from in the county and surrounding areas. I don't think anyone local reads my journal much but any suggestions would be welcome.
